Branded packaging takes 3–4 weeks to print and arrive. Your store is live in 10 business days either way — until the branding lands, orders ship in plain black silk. You are never blocked from selling.

You never buy inventory. You never pay for a bundle until a customer has already paid you for it.
About that shipping line. Shipping costs money and no dropshipping company can make that untrue. What you charge your customer is entirely yours to decide — pass it straight through, or build it into your product price and advertise free shipping. Most sellers do the second one. Either way, you should know the number before you start, not after.
